The Reader's Digest Condensed Books series was a series of hardcover anthology collections, published by the Reader's Digest, an American general interest monthly family magazine. The books were published four times a year corresponding with the four seasons, spring, summer fall and winter and distributed by direct mail directly to the consumer. Generally each volume contained five special editions of current best-selling novels and nonfiction books. The special editions were condensed specifically for Reader's Digest. Because of their colorful spines they are much sought after by designers and artists.
